Our client, an International Bank, is looking for a Swift payments Operations to join their team in London.
The main purpose of the role is to assist and support the Department with the operationalisation of the Banks digital payment strategy under the leadership of the Deputy Head of Payments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support in the execution of the organisations payment strategy.
Assist in the day-to-day payment processing operations to ensure efficiency and security, including reconciliation tasks.
Translate business goals and customer insights into payment digital product strategies, roadmaps, and feature sets that enhance user engagement, retention, and conversion.
Assist in managing relationships with both internal and external customers.
Contribute to monitoring and analysing payment process performance and providing insights, KPIs and reports to management on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
Be well-informed on industry trends and innovations in relation to payments industry.
Assist in maintaining the departmental Risk Control Self Assessment, escalating incidents as and when required.
Contributing towards operational risk scenarios and internal tests.
Ensuring successful departmental contribution to Financial Services Compensation Scheme internal/external tests.
Conducting peer analysis, ensuring the profitability of the department with a view to cost mitigation and zero operational loses.
Periodic reviews of departmental polices and procedures, ensuring proper governance.
Assisting with end of year audit processes, gathering evidence and closing any outstanding actions as and when required.
Attend and contribute to various committees and project working groups as invited to especially the Digital Transformation Working Groups.
Undertake miscellaneous duties as instructed by the Payment Services Manager.
Skills and Knowledge:
5
years of experience in payments, transaction banking or related field within the financial services industry.
Demonstrable experience in identifying and implementing automation and process improvements.
Demonstrable experience in handing complex payment queries and reconciliations
Bachelors Degree or equivalent as a minimum or Certification in principles of Payments.
Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.
SWIFT / Similar Systems and related products.
Temenos Transact and Temenos Payments Hub/ Similar Systems
Understanding of GDPR, PSD2, Dodd-Frank act and regulations set by the ECB.
Experience in reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial transactions.
Knowledge of internal control mechanisms to safeguard assets and ensure reliable financial reporting.
